PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES & INSTRUCTIONS

WRITING YOUR PAPER

  • There is no limit on the number of pages per paper.
  • Do not number any pages.

Title

  • Use a title page (see example).
  • Print title page in 14 point bold, Times New Roman or Helvetica.
  • Use the same title you submitted on your abstract.

Margin & Spacing

  • Use one-inch margins on the top, bottom, left, and right.
  • Use block format for all text.
  • Use 10 point for the main body of your paper, Times New Roman or Helvetica.
  • Single-space your text, double space between paragraphs. 
  • Do not indent paragraphs.

Graphics

  • Any graphics should be imbedded in the text file where they appear.
  • You may wish to number exhibits and graphics.

Content of Paper

Feel free to briefly describe your organization’s business or objective to provide context to your application requirements; however, please do not use your paper or presentation to advertise products or services your organization provides.

How to Send/Save Your Document

You must meet the July 21, submission date in order to have your registration fee waived and to have your paper included in the Conference Proceedings.

Use the enclosed label on your disk with the title, and file tracking number.

Please send two hardcopies of your paper and any presentation handouts printed off the disk you are submitting in digital form.

If your paper is large, please zip/compress the file.

If compressing your file, please identify the compressed file name for us.

Please run a virus check before sending.

Softcopy Instructions

Building the CD directly from the softcopies will provide the highest quality look for your paper.  The two hard copy originals are still required and should be printed off the disk you are providing.  This is used as a backup to the softcopy file. 

Acceptable Formats

This year we are able to accept softcopies of papers in the following formats:

  • Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF)  -File Extension: .pdf
  • Microsoft Word  -File Extension: .doc
  • WordPerfect  -File Extension: .wpd
  • Microsoft PowerPoint  -File Extension: .ppt

You may also provide us with a zip-ped version of this file.  Please be sure to run a virus scan on any files you send us.

File Naming

Please name your softcopy file using the following format:
     <File Tracking Number> <File Format>
For Example, if you have been assigned File Tracking Number #F1 and are sending a Microsoft Word document, you need to name your file: F1.doc.

How To Submit

Due to the number of papers for this conference, we are unable to accept the softcopies by email.  Instead, copy your document onto a PC Formatted 1.44 Meg Floppy Disk.  A PC Formatted Zip Disk may also be used.  Please use the enclosed diskette label on the Disk.

Presentations

You may also have your presentation included in the conference proceedings.  Please send your presentation files and copies along with your paper when submitting.  The requirements for the presentation softcopy and two original hardcopies also apply.

Presentation File Naming

Please name your softcopy file of your presentation using the following format:
    Pres-<File Tracking Number>, <file format>

For example, if you have been assigned File Tracking Number  “F1” and you are sending a Microsoft Power Point document, you need to name your file: pres-F1.doc
